SUSTAINABILITY
MINDFUL JEWELLERY
As a young and growing business, we are deeply committed to minimising our environmental footprint and continually improving our practices. We use Fairtrade or recycled metals across our collections and bespoke pieces, and all our diamonds are conflict-free, with ethically sourced gemstones from trusted partners.
We collaborate with family-run workshops that nurture young talent and uphold the values of true craftsmanship. Our production is carefully planned—stone setting, enamelling, and plating are completed after an order is placed to reduce waste and avoid overproduction.
We offer made-to-order, bespoke, and our signature Reimagine Service, which transforms sentimental heirlooms into contemporary jewellery—preserving memories while promoting sustainability.
EDXÚ is a mindful jewellery brand, always evolving with purpose.
SUSTAINABLE SERVICE
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do—and it’s what inspired one of our most meaningful services: Reimagine. ➤
“How can we breathe new life into old, forgotten jewellery?”
“How can we make use of what we already have instead of consuming more?”
These questions sparked our journey into jewellery upcycling.
Reimagine began with a bespoke project where a client brought us several dated yet precious pieces she no longer wore. Together, we evaluated each piece and reimagined them into something entirely new—pieces that reflected her current style while preserving their sentimental value. That was the beginning of Reimagine.
As a design-led brand, we believe jewellery should carry meaning. We feel honoured to work with pieces filled with memories and love, transforming them into one-of-a-kind creations with the help of our skilled artisans. Each Reimagine project is a collaboration—creative, emotional, and deeply rewarding.
Through this service, we aim to lead a more ethical, thoughtful, and sustainable approach to jewellery—one that celebrates legacy over luxury, meaning over material.

RECYCLED METAL
Metal, especially precious metal, is a natural, renewable resource that can be recycled indefinitely without any loss of quality. Recycled silver, gold, and platinum are chemically identical to newly mined metals and virtually indistinguishable in appearance. These metals are typically sourced from old jewellery or refined industrial scrap, then purified to remove all impurities.
At EDXÚ, we are committed to using Fairtrade and recycled precious metals in all of our jewellery. By choosing recycled materials, we reduce the demand for newly mined resources, helping to minimise environmental damage and combat the harmful practices associated with “dirty gold.”
We also recycle all of our own scrap metal in-house, ensuring that nothing goes to waste. This closed-loop approach reflects our mission to design responsibly, sustainably, and with care for the planet.
ETHICAL SOURCING
We source all of our diamonds and gemstones exclusively from trusted, reputable suppliers around the world who are committed to ethical and responsible sourcing. Our partners guarantee that none of their stones have been used to fund conflict, ensuring every gem is free from association with wars or insurgencies, commonly referred to as conflict or blood diamonds.
Established in 2003, the Kimberley Process is a global initiative that brings together governments, civil society, and the diamond industry to prevent the trade of conflict diamonds. Under this agreement, all rough diamond shipments are certified, sealed, and numbered to confirm their ethical origin. Today, the Kimberley Process includes 82 participating countries (with the EU counted as one), covering over 99% of global rough diamond production and trade.
EDXÚ works only with dealers who fully comply with the Kimberley Process and can provide traceable documentation for every stone. Diamonds over 0.35ct that we use are certified by recognised institutions such as GIA or IGI, giving you full confidence in their quality and authenticity.
If you are sourcing your own gemstones, we strongly encourage you to purchase from legitimate, certified channels to ensure they are conflict-free and responsibly mined.
OUR BELIEFS
At EDXÚ, we believe in the power of original design and fine craftsmanship. To us, fine jewellery is the perfect union of creativity and precision. Every piece goes through a meticulous process of design, crafting, and quality testing to ensure it meets our highest standards.
Jewellery is our passion, and we’re committed to sharing that passion with others. We encourage our audience to learn more about jewellery and gemstones. Each product page includes insights into the design concept and materials used. You can also explore the Gemstone section to discover the history, symbolism, and inspiration behind each stone we use.
Giving back is at the heart of EDXÚ’s philosophy. Our founder, Edward, has long supported charitable causes through design work and volunteer efforts.
CRAFTSMANSHIP & TALENTS
EDXÚ is a London-based jewellery house with roots in the East. The name is derived from Edward Xú - ‘ED’ representing his life, education, and career in London, and ‘XÚ’ reflecting his heritage from Canton, China. Having lived equally between these two worlds, Edward brings a unique cross-cultural perspective that defines the brand’s identity.
Celebrating craftsmanship and culture, we partner with family-run workshops that nurture young artisans and honour traditional skills. Each piece is meticulously crafted and finished in Hatton Garden, London’s historic jewellery district, and hallmarked by the London Assay Office—ensuring authenticity, quality, and excellence in every creation.
